Getting and Giving Advice
MYOB 2007-11-26 Show #68 Release date: 26 Nov 2007
Notes
Listener Alexander van Grunsven has inspired this show with some feedback on an earlier podcast. So, this time round Guy Kingston and John Richards revisit the topic of how to get decent business advice. What are the best sources one should use for advice? Should one pay for it or is free advice better? Are advisers and consultants objective? Can those who’ve never owned a business offer meaningful advice to real entrepreneurs?
What about giving advice? Do entrepreneurs have an obligation to ‘pay something back’? Do they make good advisers for the next generation of business owners?
Diarmuid O’Donovan from cpdwise.com has contacted the show with details of his firm’s nominated for an Irish Internet Association Net Visionary Award.
